This is a draft. It describes the position we intend to hold and, for the website itself, the position as built. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and should be before launch.
This website
simplifybase.com is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and makes no requests to third-party servers — fonts and scripts are served from this domain. Nothing you do here is tracked across sessions or across sites.
The one exception is the theme toggle, which stores your light/dark preference in your browser's local storage under the keysb-theme. That value never leaves your device.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server access logs, which include IP addresses, for a limited period for security and diagnostic purposes.
The contact form
The contact form does not post to a server. Submitting it opens your own email client with the fields filled in — nothing is transmitted until you press send, and it is sent by you, to us, as an ordinary email.
Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation. We do not add you to a mailing list without asking.
The products
Each product documents its own data handling in detail, because they differ. The general position across all of them:
- Products run against your own database wherever that is possible. On self-hosted products, that means your data does not leave your server.
- Where hosted processing genuinely helps, it is opt-in, scoped to the minimum data required, and described in the product's documentation rather than only here.
- Models are per-customer. Your data is never pooled into a shared model or used to train anything another customer benefits from.
For SimplifyStock specifically, seeData and privacy — it lists exactly which fields are read, which tables are written, and what is transmitted if you enable hosted forecasting.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or the EU you have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and objection over personal data we hold about you. Email hello@simplifybase.com and we will action it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes and, for anything that affects existing customers, we will email you rather than rely on you noticing.
