SimplifyRoster documentation
Documentation for SimplifyRoster — 24/7 shift scheduling for distributed support teams.
SimplifyRoster is a shift scheduling platform for support teams that run around the clock across more than one country. It holds the schedule, the leave, the public holidays and the overtime in one place, so “who is covering 3 AM on Thursday?” has an answer you can see rather than reconstruct.
Start here
- Quick start — from sign-up to a working schedule in about five minutes.
- Workspace setup — creating a workspace, inviting your team, and what each of the four roles can see.
- Agents — adding agents, setting regular working hours, and linking an agent to the person who logs in as them.
The schedule
- Day view — the 24-hour timeline, the live clock, and how uncovered hours are flagged.
- Monthly calendar — coverage at a month’s range, and the badges that mark an undercovered day.
- CSV import — bringing an existing rota in rather than typing it twice.
Time off
- Holiday groups — one group per country, each following its own national calendar, and how a group’s holiday is excluded from its agents’ shifts.
- Leave — requesting, approving, and how an approved day appears on the schedule.
Overtime
- Assignment — filling a gap from the day view, including which agents are offered and why agents on a holiday are marked amber.
- Approvals — the request and review flow, and where approved hours are counted.
Reports and visibility
- Work reports — templates, submission, the manager view, and the missed-report tracker.
- Leaderboard — what the composite score is built from.
- Who’s online — how presence is derived, and who can see it.
The assistant
- Using it — the kinds of question it can answer about your live schedule.
- Setup — supplying a key, and turning it on per workspace.
